Aldactone (Spironolactone) 100mg is a diuretic known as a water pill. The pill helps to maintain the level of salt in the body and prevents too much absorption of it while keeping potassium levels from getting too low. Conditions in which if you have a lot of Aldosterone in the body the medicine acts to regulate it. Aldosterone is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands for regulation of salt and water in the body. Thus in turn the drug is effective in treatment and prevention of heart attacks, high blood pressure and kidney problems. Spironolactone is also used in the treatment of removing of swelling and improving symptoms of breathing problems.
