Description

The medication is used in the treatment of epilepsy and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.  Lennox Gastaut syndrome is a condition in which seizures occur with developmental delays. The medicine is included in the class of medicine termed as anti convulsants. The primary function of anti convulsants is to treat the abnormal electrical brain activity. The Lamictal 25mg (Lamotrigine) is used in combination with other tablets to treat the forms of seizures in patients who suffer from epilepsy. Apart from the extended release tablets, the lamotrigine tablets are used to treat depression, seizures, mania and other abnormal conditions in patients who suffer from bipolar I dIsorder. Bi polar disorder causes manic depression which result in abnormal mood swings in individuals. The possible side effects may include the occurrence of skin rashes in individuals using the medication. The severity of the rashes varies according to the strength of the dose.
