Description

Ciloxan® ophthalmic solution and Ciloxan® ophthalmic ointment are indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible strains of microorganisms in conjunctivitis (solution and ointment) and corneal ulcers (solution only). Ciloxan solution and ointment contain ciprofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibacterial that is active against a broad spectrum of ocular pathogens and delivers both penetration and potency. Ciloxan® ophthalmic solution and ointment should be discontinued at the first appearance of a skin rash or any other signs of hypersensitivity reaction. As with other antibacterial preparations, prolonged use of ciprofloxacin may result in overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms including fungi. Please see full package insert information.
