Description

For the treatment of breast cancer in women who have went through menopause stage arimidex (anastrazole) is used for the treatment of such condition. The drug is used in women who have also gone through the tamoxifen therapy. The drugs works by lowering the blood estradiol concentration which inhibits the growth and progression of the tumor by decreasing the amount of estrogen the body makes. The decreased level of estrogen can slow or stop the growth of development of many breast cancer cells.
