What is Prednisone?
Prednisone, available online on My Mexican Drugstore, is a synthetic corticosteroid drug that is particularly effective as an immunosuppressant drug. It works to treat patients with low levels of corticosteroids by replacing steroids that are normally produced naturally by the body.
What does Prednisone treat?
On My Mexican Drugstore, Prednisone is popularly purchased online when prescribed by doctors to treat inflammatory diseases like moderate allergic reactions, migraine and cluster headaches, arthritis, aphthous ulcer and even some types of cancer. It is considered important in the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, Non-Hodgkin lymphomas, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, multiple myeloma and other hormone-sensitive tumors, when combined with other anticancer drugs.
Prednisone is used to treat Herxheimer reaction, which is common during the treatment of syphilis, and to delay the onset of symptoms of Duchenne muscular dystrophy and also for uveitis, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, sarcoidosis and lupus.
Dosage:
On My Mexican Drugstore, Prednisone is available as a tablet, a solution (liquid), and a concentrated solution to take by mouth. Doctors advise that Prednisone be taken with food one to four times a day or once every other day depending on your condition and on how you respond to treatment.
When taking the concentrated solution bought on My Mexican Drugstore, we advise you to use the specially marked dropper that comes with the medication to measure your dose. The concentrated solution may be mixed with juice, other flavored liquids.
Do not stop taking prednisone without talking to your doctor. If you suddenly stop taking prednisone, your body may not have enough natural steroids to function normally. This may cause symptoms such as extreme tiredness, weakness, slowed movements, upset stomach, weight loss, changes in skin color, sores in the mouth, and craving for salt.
Precautions and side effects of Prednisone:
Steroid medication like Prednisone can weaken your immune system, and make you vulnerable to infections. One must avoid being near people who suffer from infections and you cannot get a “live” vaccine while using prednisone.
One may experience short-term side-effects like high blood glucose levels, mineralocorticoid effects such as fluid retention, insomnia, euphoria, depression and anxiety. Refer to your physician if you experience shortness of breath, severe pain in your upper stomach, bloody or tarry stools, severe depression, changes in personality or behavior, vision problems, or eye pain.

I was overdosed with prednisone for contact dermitis. As I kept getting worse, I realized I was allergic to this stuff. The dermatologist was very patrionizing not realizing I could and did read the PDR which said some people are allergic to it. I had terrible, itchy, blistery skin for 4-5 years and the splotches and scars still have not gone away 10+ years later. I also have periodic outbreaks of eczema without any known catalyst. Be careful using this steroid as it is prescribed for any skin disorder and seems to be the dermatologists’ only “go to” for skin outbreaks.
