The Controversial, Alzheimer’s disease

August 29th, 2013

Alzheimer Disease ratio world wide

In 2006 there were 26.6 million sufferers of Alzheimer’s disease worldwide. However it is believed to affect 1 in 85 people globally by 2050. Today experts suggest that there are about 5.1 million people in the United States that suffer from Alzheimer’s disease. Named after the German psychiatrist Alios Alzheimer in 1906, Alzheimer’s disease is a disease of the brain, a common cause of dementia. The disease gradually destroys the thinking skills, memory and eventually the ability to carry out the simplest of tasks. It is a slow but sure process which gradually increases with time.

Though the development of the disease varies from an individual to the other however there are some common symptoms. One of the most initial and common one is forgetfulness or trouble recalling of the things you just learnt. Memory problems are typically one of the first signs of the Alzheimer’s disease which may further lead to having trouble with complex tasks, confusion, getting lost, irritability, aggression, trouble with the language and mood swings.

At My Mexican Drug Store we realize the disease as not curable however we do provide Aricept, a medicine which offer the closest solution to the Alzheimer’s disease and could be used as a supplement bearing in mind the fact that it no way shall substitute the expertise, knowledge and judgment of the healthcare practitioners.

Much research is being done to collect facts about the origination of the disease and is believed that it takes around 10 years for the damage of the brain to start before the problems become obvious. Although in the earliest stage people are free of symptoms however deadly changes have already initiated in the brain whereby causing abnormal protein deposits to form plaques and tangles in the brain. This causes the healthy nerve cells to cease the ability of communication amongst each other resulting in the death of these nerve cells.

At My Mexican Drug Store you could get Aricept at market compatible prices with just a click while we provide you the ease of our door step services.
